In the fall of 2011, the Engage KSU leadership team embarked on a series of informational meetings, presenting the initiative to key campus constituencies and governing bodies. Engage KSU was officially unveiled for the larger university community during a series of town hall meetings in November 2011 and January 2012. The first town halls, targeting faculty and staff, took place in the Prillaman Hall Auditorium during consecutive sessions on November 15th and 16th, 2011. Later, on January 25, 2012, a set of student-focused town halls were held in the Carmichael Student Center University Rooms, which included a video presentation highlighting student engagement projects. In addition to informing the campus community, the town hall meetings served as a means for recruiting participants to serve on each of the five engagement teams, to continue the work of the initiative.
